Peter died on Tuesday 25th June 2024 with Lynne at his bedside.
His departure leaves a hole in the lives of Lynne, his three sons Matt, Tom and Will, a host of grandchildren, and many other family members, friends and ex colleagues. He will be remembered for many things, not least his mild, positive nature; his ability to find something fun in any situation; his indefatigably innocent sense of humour; and his witty and heartfelt odes, from which no special occasion was safe.
If you wish to add any memories to this page we would love to read them. Please be aware that anything posted on this page is visible to anyone with an internet connection. If you'd like to share a memory privately please feel free to get in touch with the family through other means.
Flowers & Donations
If you are considering spending any money in his memory, rather than flowers or cards we would encourage you to give it to a charity in his name instead. The donation link on this page will allow you to donate to Prostate Cancer UK, which we feel is particularly fitting: your donation will enable their work to continue, and help others to survive this terrible illness that takes so many lives before their time. If you decide to donate in a different way or to a different charity that is fine, but we'd love to hear about it.
Funeral Arrangements
Peter's funeral was held at Kettering Crematorium on Monday 22nd July, followed by an after-party at the Telford Lodge by Brewers Fayre. It was attended by a large number of family, friends and colleagues and as much as the day was a sad one, it was also a joyful celebration of Peter's life, and the effect he had the lives of other people was clear. You can find out more about what happened on the day, including links to the music and readings, here.
